Richard Yap Reveals Alleged Monetary Ruckus With Some Producers

MANILA, Philippines - Richard Yap's steady climb to success isn't without the inevitable bumps here and there.

The Kapamilya star claimed that there were some producers who allegedly didn't pay him right for engagements which he took part of.

In an interview with "The Buzz" on Sunday, the businessman-turned-actor said, "This one naman meron naman silang down payment. Pero I think 'yung other half, 'yon ang 'di nabayaran. Meron kaming iba na talagang - merong isang nagawa sa'min na hindi talaga kami binayaran."

"And he's making up stories pa. May sinaktan daw ako, may pinukpok daw ako ng mic. 'Yung mga gano'n," he added.

In spite of what happened, Richard doesn't hold grudges towards those producers.

"I think they settled it and since the other producer was very nice about it, I have no hard feelings," said he.

The producers were not named in the report.

Sometime after his interview was aired, Richard posted the following on his Twitter account:

"Just to clarify about the Buzz, Ako ANG nag report sa kanila na yun producer gumawa ng story na may pinukpok Ako Dahil ayaw niya magbayad."

"He made up that story kasi his check payment bounced! Di Ako binayaran."

In other news, Richard revealed the actresses he'd like to work with next.

"...Like si Ms. Anne Curtis. I was supposed to work with Ms. Kris Aquino also, pero medyo na-derail lang...," he said.

Richard is currently paired with Jodi Sta. Maria in the daytime series "Be Careful With My Heart."
