Rockets' Lin uncertain for game three

Houston point guard Jeremy Lin has a muscle contusion in his right chest that could keep him out of game three of the Rockets NBA Western Conference first-round playoff series against Oklahoma City.

The Rockets trail the top-seeded Thunder 2-0 in the best-of-seven series and host game three on Saturday.

Lin was injured in the first half of a 105-102 defeat in game two on Wednesday night, Houston's hugely popular Asian-American star missing all of the second half.

Lin, who said he was hurt when he collided with another player, had an MRI exam on Thursday which revealed the injury.

The 24-year-old remained optimistic that he would be able to play on Saturday.

"It feels a lot better," Lin said Thursday, adding that painful spasms had subsided. "Now it's just getting range of motion and being pain-free," he said.

Patrick Beverley received the majority of the minutes at point guard in Lin's absence, notching career bests of 16 points and 12 rebounds with six assists.
