Sasa and Gege: What you see is what you get

MANILA, Philippines - They may be reel sweethearts for now but Gerald Anderson and Sarah Geronimo maintain that whatever they share off-screen is real.

Their closeness (and sometimes sweetness), which is more apparent now particularly to their throngs of supporters, has been established since their two films "Catch Me... I'm In Love" and "Won't Last A Day Without You."

On the progress of their friendship, Gerald told Bulletin Entertainment and other members of the press after their much-attended Ashrald Ultimate Fans Day tendered by Jollibee last March 25, "'Yun din 'yung maganda sa'min.

The young actor likewise emphasized that he and Sarah are more comfortable with each other now. What may well serve as "proofs" of their closeness is how comfortable they held hands or put their arms around their shoulders during the event.

"And we're just happy na ganun kami. And sana natuwa 'yung fans kahit papa'no. On a personal level, masaya kami, masaya kami," Gerald stressed.

Sarah-who apparently let out more giggles than words during the interview-added that, "Itong mga pagkakataon na 'to nakakapag-bonding kami at nakakasama namin ang mga supporters namin."

Both laughed when asked to comment on rumors that they talk on the phone until the wee hours of the morning.

"Hindi naman... Steady lang... Kaya siguro naging mas close kami ngayon kasi mas madalas 'yung communication naming dalawa," Gerald explained.

Gerald, who recently admitted that he's courting Sarah, likewise doesn't see the need for them to label the kind of bond they have now.

Sarah also values her friendship with Gerald, saying, "talagang iniingatan ko po 'yung closeness namin ngayon..."

"Kahit tapos na 'yung pelikula namin, ako, sabi ko naman kung saan siya magiging happy, nandidito lang ako sa kanya," said the singer-actress.

When Sarah was prodded to share how Gerald makes her happy, it was the latter who responded.

There's no turning back for me...

Sarah and Gerald bonded with their supporters during their Fans Day by helping facilitate various games, signing autographs, and sharing their favorite Jollibee meals.
