Savoy opens first-ever hotel in Cebu

MEGAWORLD Corp. has opened its first ever hotel development in Cebu, the 547-room Savoy Hotel Mactan Newtown.

The hotel by far, is the biggest hotel to rise on Mactan Island in terms of room number.

The property giant owned by billionaire Andrew Tan spent P1.7 billion to build the hotel, which is one of the many hotels planned to rise at its Mactan Newtown development.

The hotel’s interiors are designed by world-renowned Hirsch Bedner Associates, the same firm that designed Marina Bay Sands and Fullerton Hotel in Singapore, as well as Shangri-La Dubai and St. Regis Abu Dhabi in UAE.
