MANILA, Philippines – The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) on Tuesday warned the public against a circulating Facebook post, entitled “P20,000 para sa lahat ng SSS Pangtawid.”

The DICT said the post, which was posted online since March 18, directs users to a phishing website RANDOMNAMES.CLUB.

When the post is clicked, it re-posts the same link on the user’s Facebook wall, the agency’s National Computer Emergency Response Team (NCert) said.

A phishing site is disguised as a legitimate site used by online fraudsters to steal user data.

“Be wary of similar phishing threats. Refer only to official government websites and sources for information and updates,” DICT NCert said in an advisory.

The agency urged the public to report cyber incidents to its official Facebook page, and email at cert-ph@dict.gov.ph. They may also contact its mobile number 0921-494-2917 or 0956-154-2042, and landline at 8920-0101 local 1708.
