Scarlett Johansson: I dress like a boy

Scarlett Johansson dresses “like a boy” most of the time.

Despite being famed for her feminine figure and stunning looks, the actress prefers mannish shapes and jeans to feminine dresses.

Speaking from behind the scenes of the latest Elle UK cover shoot, the blonde bombshell named her wardrobe essentials.

“I dress like a boy most of the time in my own personal life,” she said. “I like a lot of tailored things and jackets with jeans. I’m a jeans kind of girl…”

But Scarlett added that while she likes to dress down in her spare time, she enjoys trying out the latest collections on photoshoots.

Modelling a selection of new season dresses by Victoria Beckham and Jonathan Saunders, the 27-year-old turned on her famous sex appeal for iconic fashion photographer Rankin.

“I live in New York so I usually dress to survive that day,” she laughed. “I like to dress up in girly things sometimes. [Some of the garments on the Elle shoot] - it’s the first time they’re being shot so it’s fun to see what’s out there and be the first to try it on.”
