MANILA, Philippines – All trips from the port of Real, Quezon bound for Polilio Island have been cancelled due to the impending dangers ahead of tropical storm Ramon.
As port administrators announced the cancellation, stranded passengers opted to return home as they were advised to defer their travel for their own safety.
According to PAGASA’s gale warning, waves of up to five meters may be experienced in the eastern seaboards of central and southern Luzon which covers Aurora, Quezon including Polillo Island as well as Camarines Provinces, Catanduanes, Eastern Coast of Albay, and Eastern Coast of Sorsogon.
Fishing boats and other small sea vessels are barred from venturing out into the sea until further notice. — MNP (with inputs from Sherwin Culubong)
