A senior military officer and his wife have been tested positive for coronavirus disease (COVID-19), according to the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
The AFP said the senior officer, who is now asymptomatic, and his wife are now undergoing proper medical treatment.
“They will continue medical treatment until fully recovered,” the AFP said in a statement.
The said military official had a history of foreign travel. He and his wife were admitted to V. Luna Medical Center in Quezon City as persons under investigation (PUIs) last March 15.
Meanwhile, the AFP continues to implement strict protocols from the Department of Health (DOH) to combat the spread of COVID-19.
