THE M/V Lady of Triumph of the Medallion Transport, which was carrying 27 locally stranded individuals and was bound to Surigao City Wednesday, June 3, 2020, returned back to Cebu City after encountering engine problems while traversing the waters of Camotes, Cebu.
Lieutenant Junior Grade Erick Salcedo, Philippine Coast Guard District Central Visayas spokesperson, said the vessel departed from Pier 4 of Cebu City for Surigao City Wednesday night, June 3.
But due to low pressure on lube oil transmission on portside main engine, the master of the vessel decided to return back to Cebu City.
The vessel safely docked at Pier 4, Cebu City around 5:15 p.m. of June 4.
The passengers were all safe and were advised to transfer to Pier 4, Cebu City. They were also told to go onboard a vessel of Cokaliong Shipping going to Surigao City. (WBS)
