NATIONAL Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Director Debold Sinas confirmed on Tuesday, March 10, that the police official who was gunned down in Makati City was on President Rodrigo Duterte’s drugs watchlist.
Major Jeff Dalson, who was assigned at the office of the chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP), was among the 357 cops who were undergoing adjudication over their alleged involvement in the illegal drugs trade.
Major General Sinas said Dalson was assigned at the Quezon City Police District before he was transferred to the office of the PNP chief while undergoing adjudication.
Sinas said the Makati City Police Office has formed a Special Investigation Task Group that will conduct the investigation on the killing.
Dalson was gunned down by unidentified motorcycle-riding men at around 7 a.m. Monday in Makati City while he was onboard his sports utility vehicle.
He was shot at close range. (SunStar Philippines)
