TO AVOID face-to-face transactions at its office, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) 7 has further extended the validity of the special permits issued to public utility vehicles (PUVs) to Sept. 15, 2020.
In the latest memorandum order the LTFRB 7 posted on its official Facebook page on Friday, Sept. 4, 2020, Regional Director Eduardo Montealto Jr. said the new memorandum order modifies the previous memo issued last Sept. 1 that only allowed the extension of the special permit’s validity until Sept. 6.
Montealto said after Sept. 15, all special permits will be deemed canceled unless another extension will be granted.
PUVs without special permits will be considered colorum operations, he said.
Operators granted with special permits are advised to visit the LTFRB 7’s official Facebook page for further updates and route modification.
All areas in Central Visayas are on modified general community quarantine status until the end of September. (WBS)
