Beauty queen Rabiya Mateo is flying the Philippines' flag high in Miami, Florida as she represents her beloved country at the Miss Universe 2020. Mateo is competing against 73 other beauty queens in the 69th edition of the Miss Universe competition.
In a video shared by the Miss Universe organisation, the 24-year-old Ilongga model remembered the pressures she faced when representing the Philippines in the competition.
She also admitted she was a 'dark horse' when entering the competition: “Nobody noticed me…. When I won, I received different comments. There were people who did not expect me to do well, who thought I cheated."
Allegations of cheating followed her when she was crowned Miss Universe Philippines in October 2020. Although the allegations were not backed, Mateo quickly received support from Miss Universe Philippines national director Shamcey Supsup-Lee.
The Filipina-Indian beauty queen also shared that she wants to make her country proud and "offer what Rabiya can show to the rest of the world."
On her model off-duty look, Mateo keeps her jewellery to a minimum, opting for classy silver hoop or stud earrings.
We think these are a few styles you could shop from to get that classy, stylish look like the beauty queen.

Relatively few folks plunked down the cash for BMW’s M8 Coupe and M8 Convertible in the models’ 2020 launch year. In fact, BMW overestimated demand by a wide enough margin that both the Coupe and Convertible versions of the M8 didn’t see a 2021 model year. BMW said it had enough stock of 2020 model year M8s to last, justifying the decision to not make a 2021 version.
U.S. President Joe Biden's administration is preparing an overhaul of arms export policy to increase the emphasis on human rights, a departure from former President Donald Trump's prioritization of economic benefits to U.S. defense contractors, four people familiar with the initiative said. Defense companies and activists scrutinize such policies for insight into the administration's posture as it balances the commercial interests of exporters like Lockheed Martin Co and Raytheon Technologies against the country's stated commitment to human rights.

When American philosopher George Santayana wrote in 1905 that "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it," we're certain he didn't realize people would repeat the past so soon. Over the weekend, as GM Authority reported, a 2021 Chevrolet Corvette owner in the San Francisco Bay area took his car to a regional dealer for a engine issue.
