MANILA, Philippines – A Magnitude 5.9 earthquake rocked Bukidnon on Monday (November 18) at 9:22 pm, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS).
Closed-circuit TV camera (CCTV) footages circulated on social media as to how strong the tremblor was, causing cracks and minor damages in structures in the area.
The earthquake was felt at Intensity V in Bukidnon, Kidapawan City and in Marawi City.
Intensity IV, meanwhile, was experienced in Impasugong in Bukidnon, Cotabato City, Davao City, Koronadal City, Davao City, Malungon in Saranggani and Cagayan De Oro.
Intensity III was felt in Gingoog City, Tupi in South Cotabato and Alabel in Sarangani and Intensity II in Kiamba in Sarangani, General Santos City and Mambajao in Camiguin
PHIVOLCS advised residents to brace for possible aftershocks.
Authorities said there were no reported casualties or injuries following the quake. MNP (details from Janice Ingente)
