It’s a Suarez-Mancito fight in VSP match

OLYMPIAN Charly Suarez gets a new opponent for his ring return on July 3, 2021.

Instead of unbeaten prospect Ryan James Racaza, Suarez will now face veteran Eduardo Mancito in a yet-to-be-determined venue in Luzon.

Racaza was forced to pull out of the fight after suffering an injury in training. Mancito was supposed to fight Arnold Baconaje in the same event. Now, he’ll get a huge opportunity against Suarez in the main event of the show promoted by VSP Promotions.

The 32-year-old Suarez has been impressive thus far since turning pro in 2019 following a gold medal finish in the 2019 Southeast Asian Games in the Philippines.

Suarez has translated really well from the amateurs to the pro ranks and has knocked out all but one of his six opponents. He has already fought twice in 2021 despite the Covid-19 pandemic. He dominated tough Jon Jon Estrada by a one-sided unanimous decision and stopped Pablito Canada in the fourth.

Suarez will have his hands full against Mancito, who has fought some elite names.

Mancito has fought the likes of current World Boxing Council (WBC) super bantamweight king Rey Vargas, former world champion Tomas Rojas, two-time world title challenger Alberto Guevara and ex-Olympian Satoshi Shimizu.

Mancito last saw action in 2020, where he lost to Tanzanian Salimu Jengo by unanimous decision in Tanzania.

Suarez is 6-0 with five knockouts, while the 28-year-old Mancito is 18-11-2 with nine knockouts.

Also in the same show, veteran Roberto Gonzales (28-6-1, 17 KOs) trades leathers with Jino Rodrigo (5-2-2, 4 KOs), Lorenz Ladrada (9-1-1, 3 KOs) is up against Claudevan Sese (7-2-3, 1 KO), Ben Ligas (13-1-1, 9 KOs) squares off with Miel Fajardo (7-1-1, 6 KOs) and Cris Ganoza (18-3, 9 KOs) locks horns with Junuel Lacar (8-7-3, 6 KOs).
