Super Typhoon Hinnamnor enters PAR

SUPER Typhoon Hinnamnor entered the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2022, the state weather bureau announced.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that "Hinnamnor" was given the local name Henry.

Pagasa will release tropical cyclone bulletins starting 11 p.m. Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the center of Tropical Depression Gardo was estimated at 1,080 kilometers east of extreme northern Luzon as of 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Gardo has maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour (km/h) near the center and gusts of up to 70 km/h. (CLC)
