Suspected ‘salvage’ victim found in Consolacion

A MAN believed to have been salvaged was found around 4:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 28, 2022, along the road in Paseo Begonia, Purok 7, Barangay Sacsac, Consolacion, northern Cebu.

The victim had gunshot wounds to the forehead and back of the head. Duct tape also covered his face, while both of his hands were tied.

The man had tattoos all over his body of various people’s names and gangs. He was also wearing a t-shirt with the name of a certain fraternity.

Police Major Jude Librando Cebrero, Consolacion police chief, said that during the initial investigation, people in the area reportedly heard two gunshots at 2:30 a.m. It was only at 4:30 a.m. when his body was found by residents.

Scene of the Crime Operatives personnel found a slug and two shells of a gun with an unidentified caliber.

Cebrero said the body was taken to a funeral parlor for autopsy and identification.
