Tabugon loses by 7th-round KO in US fight

PINOY journeyman Raymond Tabugon suffered another defeat in the US after a seventh round stoppage at the hands of Ricardo Sandoval in the main event of “Thursday Night Fights” last Feb. 7, 2020 PHL time) at the Fantasy Springs Hotel and Casino in Indio, California.

Sandoval dropped Tabugon in the second round, with a counter left hook to the head.

Tabugon survived but was smothered in the seventh round forcing referee Edward Hernandez Sr. to stop the fight in the 1:43 mark.

Sandoval, ranked No. 6 in the World Boxing Organization (WBO) flyweight division, improved to 18-1 with 13 knockouts, while Tabugondropped to 22-12-1 with 11 knockouts. (EKA)
