Talim island

Binangonan, Rizal - Residents of the island villages here have expressed their satisfaction over the plans of the local government to make the Talim Island one of the province's top tourist destinations.

During a dialogue with policemen here, the village leaders of the seventeen barangays told Chief Inspector Bartolome Marigondon that they are excited to see their island transform into a tourist haven.

The island is home to the bamboo handicraft makers of the province, whose products are being sold to other parts of the province and even in Metro Manila and other towns especially during trade exhibits.

Marigondon said peace and order in the island has never been an issue against this island communities as crime incident is almost zero as only petty crimes which are purely domestic in nature and which are easily resolved in the barangay level, are reported to the island's police community precinct.
