Talisay City, Cebu logs 2 new Covid-19 cases

TALISAY City on Saturday, June 13, 2020, logged two new cases of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19), according to the city's mayor.

Mayor Gerald Anthony Gullas Jr. said in a Facebook post that the two new cases are residents of Barangay Cansojong and San Roque.

Patient Talisay (PT) 84 is a 20-year-old female from Cansojong. She is a healthcare worker at a private hospital in Cebu City. She was swabbed on June 9 for influenza-like illness symptoms, which was noted a week earlier. The asymptomatic patient has been on quarantine since June 9.

Meanwhile, PT85 is a 29-year-old female from San Roque. She is admitted to a government hospital on June 12 for childbirth. She is still in hospital. The patient's husband has not been home for two weeks since he is a stay-in worker for a construction company in Lapu-Lapu. She has no other family members in her household.

In total, Talisay City has 106 Covid-19 cases, 61 of whom are active. The city also listed 30 recoveries and 15 mortalities. (JGS)
