Tan returns to the cage against Oganesyan

CEBUANO MMA fighter Trestle Tan makes his return to the ring after a long layoff and faces Greek warrior Robert Oganesyan in one of the undercard bouts of National Fighting Championship on May 23 at the NFT Gym in Krefeld, Germany.

Tan’s last fight was in the ONE Championship on June 15, 2019 in Shanghai, China. He suffered a first round stoppage in the hands of South Korean Chang Min Yoon.

Tan lost his last four fights, two in ONE Championship and one in Rich Franklin’s ONE Warrior Series.

Tan’s last victory was in 2016, when he submitted Djatmiko Waluyo via a first round rear-naked choke.

Tan is now based in Hamburg, Germany as a trainer at the Gorilla Gym Hamburg.

Meanwhile, Oganesyan is also on a losing streak. He dropped three straight fights.

Oganesyan last saw action on Sept. 19, 2020 and lost to Ilja Stojanov via a rear-naked choke. His last win was a first round stoppage of Ivan Sakic in 2017.

Tan, who once trained at the Yaw-Yan Ardigma Cebu Gym, is 4-9 with two wins via knockout and two by submission.

Oganesyan is 6-8, also with three of his wins by knockout and three by submission.
