Teenager dies after colliding with motorcycle in Argao

A 15-YEAR-OLD boy who was driving a motorcycle died after he collided with another motorcycle in Barangay Tulic, Argao town, southern Cebu on Wednesday, November 23, 2022.

Arveen John Villacorte Cayanan, 15, of Sitio Banlot, Barangay Usmad of Argao, was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital, while the driver of another motorcycle, Eulieboy Carrillo, of legal age from Barangay Alambijud, Argao, was admitted in the hospital.

Police Staff Sergeant John Mark Canonigo of Argao Police Station told SunStar Cebu that the victim was driving a Honda motorcycle toward north when he collided head-on when he met with an accident at 6:09 p.m. Wednesday.

Canonigo said Carrillo was driving fast from the opposite direction and was avoiding a pothole when he hit Cayanan instead.

Cayanan sustained severe wounds due to the impact that resulted in his death, while Carrillo is still under observation at the hospital. (GPL, TPT)
