Looting was reported in downtown Chicago on the night of August 9-10, hours after an officer-involved shooting in the city’s Englewood neighborhood sparked unrest.

Chicago Police said officers shot a man who fired at police following a confrontation. He was in hospital, police said, “in an unknown condition”.

NBC Chicago said at least two Chicago police officers were injured and one individual was arrested after clashes broke out following the shooting.
