Believe it or not, Modern Family‘s youngest star is already 13 years old and making a name for herself on TikTok.
Aubrey Anderson-Emmons, the Korean American actress who played Lily Tucker-Pritchett on the Emmy award-winning show, was just 4 years old when she joined the cast in 2011. Nine years later, the budding actress is 13 years old and slowly accruing a fan base of her peers on TikTok.
Anderson-Emmons’ account seemingly blew up overnight thanks to a video she posted on Jan. 16 dancing along to Kanye West’s “Bound 2.” The video isn’t anything out of the ordinary — just some dancing and lip-synching — but it seems to be the first time that users truly realized who Anderson-Emmons is.
“GIRL IT’S LILY WHAT,” one person said in disbelief.
“I forgot kids from TV shows actually grow up too,” another added.
“My jaw just dropped once I realized,” a third said.
“I can’t believe that’s her,” a fourth wrote.
Though the Modern Family star has only just started to go viral on TikTok, she’s actually had an account for quite some time. Her first video, which features her onscreen dads Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet, was uploaded on Jan. 22, 2020, and she’s regularly posted content on the platform since then.
Now that people know Anderson-Emmons is on TikTok, they seem to be interested in what she’s up to. As of writing, the actress has just over 241,000 followers. In one of her most recent videos, she joked about her newfound TikTok fame, saying, “Why is everybody all of a sudden realizing that I’m on TikTok? I’ve been on TikTok since 2019! Gotta love the algorithm.”
