THE TNT Tropang Giga took down the Barangay Kings, 106-92, to end their elimination round campaign in the PBA Season 47 Philippine Cup on a winning note on Sunday night at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.

The Tropang Giga shot the lights out from beyond the three-point arc, making 16 in all, to atone for its horrendous loss to San Miguel in their last game and finish the elims with an 8-3 mark.

Cebuano hoops star Roger Pogoy scored 30 points to lead the way for TNT. He also added eight rebounds, three steals, and two assists. Mikey Williams added 19, sinking five three-pointers, while Glenn Khobuntin came off the bench and chipped in 16, going 4-of-8 from rainbow country.

TNT was up by eight at halftime but started to pull away in the third, which ended with them ahead by 13, 78-65. The Tropang Giga then put away the Kings in the final canto as Pogoy and Khobuntin connived in a 14-7 run that gave TNT its largest lead of the game at 24, 96-72.

Ginebra had its four-game winning streak snapped and dropped to 6-2. Japeth Aguilar led Ginebra with 18 points, while Christian Stanhardinger produced a double-double of 15 points and 12 rebounds.
