TOLEDO City logged five new cases of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) on June 26, 2020.
Based on the latest update of Toledo City Health Department (TCHD) Facebook page, the new Covid-19 cases were recorded from Barangays Sto. Niño, Awihao, and Poblacion with one case each; while Barangay Tubod recorded two cases.
The Covid-19 patient from Barangay Sto. Niño, formerly known as Mainggit, is a 29-year-old male.
After experiencing fever and cough, the patient went to Cebu Provincial Hospital in Balamban for consultation.
He was swabbed and yielded a positive result for the virus. The patient is currently admitted in Talisay District Hospital.
The patient from Awihao is a 49-year-old, who is a driver of private company vehicle.
He was swabbed at the Toledo City General Hospital and yielded positive result.
The Covid-19 patients from Barangay Tubod are father and son who had travel history in Cebu City.
The father is a 61-year-old who experienced Covid-19 symptoms.
They were swabbed on June 24 and yielded positive results.
The patient from Poblacion is a 17-year-old who is a direct contact of another Covid-19 patient in the city.
Toledo City has a total of 15 Covid-19 cases, one mortality and two recoveries or laboratory-negative. (JJL)
