Disney+ has released the official trailer for the upcoming Turner & Hooch original series.

Drake and Josh actor Josh Peck stars as Scott Turner, a US Marshal who inherits a large, unruly dog he doesn't want but who quickly becomes the furry friend he can't live without

Peck's character is the son of Detective Scott Turner from the 1989 film of the same name starring Tom Hanks.

The trailer sees a reluctant Scott Jr take in the sizeable pooch when his sister Laura (Lyndsy Fonseca) turns up with Hooch following the passing of his father.

A phone call with his mother reveals that the late Scott Sr wanted him to have the dog after he rescued him from a shelter, as "it was almost like the original Hooch came back".

Chaos soon ensues as Hooch tears up his apartment and causes disruptions with his work. "He behaves for everyone but me," Scott notes

However, help and a potential love interest looks to come in the form of the head of the US Marshals dog training programme, Erica Mouniere (Vanessa Lengies).
