Typhoon Ompong poses storm surge threat over Cagayan, Ilocos and Isabela

Weather bureau PAGASA warned of possible storm surge of up to 6 meters high in Cagayan and Ilocos Norte; and up to 2 meters in Isabela and Ilocos Sur early morning Saturday, September 15.

TY Ompong is expected to make landfall in Cagayan between 1:00 AM and 3:00 AM, Saturday.

Fisherfolks and small seacrafts are warned against venturing out into the sea tropical cyclone warnings are raised.
