Tyreek Hill continues to raise expectations, calls Tua Tagovailoa 'the most accurate quarterback' in NFL

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill continues to set the bar exceptionally high for quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. Hill hyped up Tagovailoa yet again Monday, calling Tagovailoa "the most accurate quarterback in the NFL."

Hill made those comments while appearing on ESPN. He also dropped an f-bomb during the interview, so be warned the following clip is NSFW.

Hill expanded on his comment, saying, "Everything is spot on, everything is pinpoint. The ball is on time. [Tagovailoa's] fundamentals are on point." Hill said Tagovailoa isn't a traditional gunslinger, but "takes the time in other areas to be great."

Hill avoided making direct comparisons between Tagovailoa and Kansas City Chiefs starter Patrick Mahomes. Tagovailoa is still looking to live up to his first-round pedigree in the NFL. Mahomes has already won an MVP award and a championship.

Is the hype a good thing for Tua Tagovailoa?

Since being traded to the Dolphins, Hill has consistently talked up Tagovailoa's ability. Hill has focused on Tagovailoa's accuracy multiples times, saying in June he was more accurate than Mahomes. Hill also said people will regret saying negative things about Tagovailoa's ability.

It's one thing to hype up your quarterback and give him confidence, but it's another to thing to set unrealistic expectations. Hill is talking about Tagovailoa like he's already one of the best quarterbacks in football. Tagovailoa certainly has ability and was drafted No. 5 overall for a reason, but he hasn't shown an elite upside in the NFL just yet.

That could come this season. Tagovailoa will throw to one of the most talented wide receivers duos in the NFL in Hill and Jaylen Waddle. Mike Gesicki is coming off his finest season as a pro, catching 73 balls for 780 yards.

Tagovailoa has the weapons to succeed in the NFL. At this point, it's on him to prove he can get the job done. The bar is pretty high, especially after the Hill hype, so there's a lot of pressure on Tagovailoa to produce as soon as Week 1.
