UC graduate places 3rd in physician licensure exam

A UNIVERSITY of Cebu graduate (UC) has made it to the top 10 of the March 2021 Physician Licensure Examination, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced Friday, March 19, 2021.

1. UC graduate enters top 10

Cy Johann Kent Jumangit Romuga of the UC College of Medicine Foundation Inc.-Mandaue placed third in the examination with a score of 88.42 percent.

2. Top spot goes to FEU graduate

Jeremiah Dimapeles Lim of Far Eastern University-Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation (FEU-NRMF) was ranked first with a rating of 89.67 percent.

Gabrielle Paul Soriano Pascual of the same university snagged the second spot with a rating of 88.75 percent.

3. Other graduates in the top 10

Also in the top 10 were Kristian Leonard Orap Orante of the University of the Philippines-Manila (4th, 87.68 percent); Ace William Gopez Pasion of the Angeles University Foundation (5th, 87.33 percent); Vanda Charisse Costillas Dejolde of the Adventist University of the Philippines (6th, 87.17 percent); Dane Mikhael Socias Calica of St. Luke's Medical Center College of Medicine-William H. Quasha (7th, 87.08 percent); Jannie Leah Prieto Miedes of Davao Medical School Foundation (8th; 87 percent); Jaymee Borja Quindara of Mariano Marcos State University-Batac (9th; 86.92 percent); and Scorch Dominique Nieva Roldan of FEU-NRMF (10th; 86.17 percent).

4. Around 64% of examinees passed the exam

The PRC announced that 1,234 out of 1,927 passed the Physician Licensure Examination given by the Board of Medicine in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga in March 2021.
