This is interesting.
Nike’s NBA uniforms have garnered a lot of attention this season since taking over as the league’s official apparel provider from Adidas. Some has been good. Some of it (ripped jerseys) hasn’t been great.
Thursday’s news can be filed under exciting. Nike initially announced that each team would have four different jersey designs. So far, we’ve seen three of them.
Until now, presumably. Some astute gamers playing NBA 2K18 noticed some unrecognized jersey images that popped up on the game. They are believed to be the previously unreleased City Edition alternate jerseys.
A game update quickly wiped out the images from gamer’s systems, per multiple reports.
But it was too late. As with almost all things digital and of interest, gamers captured the images and shared them online.

With a few exceptions (we’re looking at you, Orlando Magic), they look pretty good. Most of them are a significant contrast to the standard gear teams wear most nights.
