UV Green Lancers push win streak to six games after beating USC Warriors in Cesafi Season 22

The University of the Visayas (UV) Green Lancers kept their immaculate record intact after defeating the University of San Carlos (USC) Warriors, 75-59, in the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (CESAFI) collegiate basketball tournament last Tuesday at the Cebu Coliseum.

UV now holds a 6-0 mark while USC dropped to 2-5.

Rookie forward Rovello Robles paced UV with 12 points while veteran big man Ted Saga continued his fine play this season, tallying 11 markers. Zylle Cabellon, a former UV Baby Lancer, also added 11 points.

USC kept close in the first half and trailed by just six at halftime, 39-45. But UV flipped the switch in the second half and left USC in the dust to snatch the easy win.

Rookie forward Acer Go had 19 points for USC.

In the high school tournament, the Cebu Institute of Technology-University Baby Wildcats downed the USC Baby Warriors, 70-56.

Lawrence Mangubat had 19 points to lead CIT-U to the dominant victory.
