PAGADIAN CITY - The Land Transportation Office (LTO) in the Zamboanga Peninsula or Region-9 will formally launch on Friday the manual on Motor Vehicle Registration and Process with LTO chief and Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) Assistant Secretary Virginia Torres as guest.

LTO-9 Director Aminola Abaton said Torres will also supervise the 3rd Quarter Senior Transportation Regulation Officer Conference that will be held at the LTO office at the government regional center here.

During the meeting, Abaton said he will also present to Torres their forthcoming projects for the LTO-9 that aim to further enhance and professionalize the system and services the agency will render to the public.

He said these include the installation of closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras in all LTO office in the region, the launching of the LTO-9 Web site, and the soon to be held Regional Law Enforcement and Road Safety Summit.

Abaton said that among those who were invited to participate in the summit include traffic enforcement officers, members of the academe, local government unit officials, and representatives from the transport sector. (Nonoy E. Lacson)
