Air Tankers Continue Dropping Retardant on Sonoma County Fires

Air tankers and firefighting planes were spotted dropping fire retardant across Sonoma, California, on Thursday, October 19, weeks after wildfires began a path of destruction across the county.

The wildfires were primarily combatted during the day, reported The Los Angeles Times, because helicopters and planes in the region were not capable of performing night drops. The first daytime airdrops were made on October 9. Credit: Instagram/sonomawinelife via Storyful
