The Big Hollow Fire threatened to overtake homes in Wasatch County, Utah, on July 16, prompting officials to recommend ‘voluntary’ evacuations for some residents.
Video taken from Heber City shows the fire raging on July 16, as an onlooker says: “Praying for our firefighters and all those who are out there right now. This is very scary. Close to a lot of homes right now so … need a little miracle.”
Local news reported the fire began around 5.30pm south of Heber City, with Utah Fire Info writing it was human-caused. Residents living on Little Sweden Road in Daniel were under a voluntary evacuation order.
According to Utah Fire Info, as of the morning of July 17, the fire had spread to 500 acres. Mandatory evacuation orders were lifted at 11.30 pm, officials said. Credit: Chad Erickson via Storyful
