Cincinnati Zoo's Tamandua Sniffs Some Spooky Treats Out of Pumpkin

An adorable tamandua – or lesser anteater – got into the Halloween spirit on October 8 thanks to a very festive treat.

Footage by Cincinnati Zoo shows Isla, one of its resident tamanduas, sniffing out some special treats from the inside of a huge pumpkin. She appears to be having the time of her life as she digs her nose in deep to get her loot.

According to the zoo, tamanduas typically use their snouts to sniff out ant, termite, or bee colonies. Credit: Cincinnati Zoo via Storyful
