Climate protesters blockaded the Melbourne headquarters of mining and resources giant BHP on October 11 during a fifth day of global activism under the Extinction Rebellion banner.
A group of protesters linked arms outside the Collins Street building and shouted “coal, don’t dig it” and “BHP, blood on your hands” among other chants.
The activists then marched through the city centre, stopping peak-hour traffic and trams. The latest protest follows the arrest of more than 40 protesters in the Victorian state capital the previous day. Credit: Extinction Rebellion via Storyful
