Coast Guard Assessment Flyover Shows Hurricane Destruction on Florida Shoreline

Destroyed buildings, the skeletal remains of a pier, and widespread debris were observed during a Coast Guard flyover of Mexico Beach, Florida, on October 11.

Hurricane Michael made landfall near to Mexico Beach on October 10, bringing 155 mph winds that toppled structures, trees and power lines.
