Coast Guard Offloads Drugs Worth Hundreds of Millions in San Diego

Members of the US Coast Guard offloaded more than 50,000 lbs (over 22,700 kgs) of cocaine and heroin, worth more than $679 million, from the cutter Stratton in San Diego, on September 20, the authroities reported.

The contraband was seized in 25 separate drug interceptions off the coast of Central and South America.
