Crews Battle Silverado Fire as Blaze Continues to Spread

The Silverado Fire burning in Orange County, California, grew to about 11,200 acres and reached five percent containment on Tuesday, October 27, fire officials said.

The Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) said 70,000 Irvine residents and 6,000 Lake Forest residents were ordered to evacuate. Officials said no structures were destroyed as of Tuesday morning.

The OCFA said this footage shows firefighters battling the blaze at two locations, Crean Lutheran High School in Irvine and the Foothill Ranch area of Lake Forest.
