Cyclone Gaja Wreaks Havoc in Pudukkottai, India

Cyclone Gaja pummeled the southeast coast of India on Friday, November 16, bringing high winds and rain to the district of Pudukkottai.

Flooding was forecast for the district as Gaja made landfall, India Today reported. The district was expected to experience tides one meter higher than usual, the report said.

At least 15 people died as a result of the storm in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, in which Pudukkottai is situated, News18 Tamil Nadu reported.
