Drunk Woman Rescued From Path of Oncoming Train in Melbourne

This footage released by Victoria Police on November 23 shows the moment three Protective Services Officers (PSOs) rescued a drunk woman from the path of an oncoming train at a suburban station in Melbourne.

The video shows a woman walking across the railway tracks, trying to reach a platform. Another member of the public then takes her arm to try to help her up, but with a train fast approaching, three PSOs rush to her aid and pull her onto the platform with seconds to spare.

Victoria Police praised the work of the PSOs and said it released the footage “to highlight the serious safety risks involved in entering the railway tracks, in or around station platforms.” Police also said the woman had been charged for accessing a restricted area.
