Dust Devil Sweeps Through Youth Baseball Game Near Nashville

A youth baseball tournament in Hendersonville, Tennessee, was abruptly stopped when a dust devil blew across the field on June 24.

Mark McClure, who shot this footage, was at the baseball tournament supporting his son. McClure said that prior to the dust devil, “it was a perfect day. It was 98 degrees, there wasn’t a cloud in the sky.”

The footage shows team members yelling in amazement as the whirlwind topples a garbage can and tosses trash in the air.

McClure told Storyful that “the canopy over the bleachers was kind of shaking. Obviously it wasn’t a tornado, but you could definitely feel the wind off it.”
