Emergency Responders Announce Evacuation of South Wales Residents Trapped by Flooding

The South Wales Fire and Rescue Service declared a “major incident” on February 16 after Storm Dennis brought intense flooding to the area.

The flooding came as the Met Office warned of heavy rain across parts of south Wales. Severe flooding was predicted for several areas, some of which could be life threatening, the Met Office said.

Storm Denis came just a week after Storm Ciara caused damage across Europe and killed at least seven people. Travelers in the UK faced major disruptions as a result of the storm. Credit: @harries_hannah via Storyful
