New Evacuation Orders Issued for Lake Elsinore As California's Holy Fire Grows

The Holy Fire in Southern California exploded to more than 9,600 acres as it encroached on homes in Lake Elsinore, California, on August 9, prompting mandatory evacuation orders for some communities in the area, according to ABC 7.

The fire was 5 percent contained on August 9.

The Holy Fire started on Monday, August 6, according to official reports. A man was arrested on August 8 on suspicion of arson.
