Lord Howe Island was battered by wind gusts of up to 150 km/h, brought by Ex-Cyclone Uesi on February 14.
Strong winds were expected to affect the Australian island until the afternoon of February 14.
Cyclone Uesi had previously been a Category 3 storm when it passed the eastern coast of New Caledonia on February 12. The storm weakened as it traveled south towards Lord Howe Island.
The cyclone has been blamed for causing dangerous surf conditions in Queensland. Surf Life Saving Queensland reported having to give assistance to 50 surfers in Noosa on February 13. Credit: libbyalenamorell via Storyful
