Firefighters Hose Down Small Plane After Hard Belly Landing in Daytona Beach

Daytona Beach International Airport runways were temporarily closed on February 20 after a “small noncommercial aircraft landed on its belly” and caught fire, the airport said in a tweet.

Reports said the private plane, a Cessna Citation Mustang, came down without landing gear. Two people were reportedly on board. No injuries were reported.

The runways were temporarily closed and at least one flight was canceled due to the incident, the airport said.
