The Vigili del Fuoco reported on October 10 that a stretch of coastal road between Cagliari and Capoterra had collapsed. This footage shows the damaged road, as well as other recovery efforts led by firefighters.
Schools remain closed in the region on October 11 as emergency personnel battled with the conditions.
