The Scotch Pine Pub in Ammanford, Wales, normally offers spectacular views from its hilltop perch, but that lofty location left it exposed to the brunt of Storm Brendan’s winds on January 14, which blew part of its roof off.
Jason Martin Nel, whose parents run the pub, recorded this video showing part of the roof being peeled back by the high winds.
“There’s a bit of damage to our cars but it’s too windy to get up and really ascertain the damage to the roof yet,” he told Storyful.
The Met Office had a yellow wind warning in place for Wales and England on January 14, as the effects of Storm Brendan continued to be felt.
