Huge Kilauea Ash Cloud Seen From Fairway of Neighboring Golf Course

The USGS’s Hawaii Volcano Observatory reported eruptions of ash of “increased intensity” from the Halemaumau crater at the Kilauea volcano’s summit on May 15, issuing a code red warning.

The ash cloud reached heights of up to 12,000 feet, the service said.
