Israeli Fields Burn as Nakba Day Demonstrators Launch Incendiaries

Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank protested on May 15, marking the 71th anniversary of what they call the Nakba, or catastrophe, an exodus of Palestinians during the 1948 Arab-Israeli War and after the creation of the state of Israel.

Thousands gathered in Gaza, from where several incendiary balloons were sent into southern Israel, leading to fires, the Jerusalem Post said.
